Hi. My name is Samantha. I was born and raised in Townsville North Queensland, alongside two brothers. I began painting as a child, and recollect pulling one out to show off to adults, to prove my talent. I took up the Visual Arts subject in both primary and high school, and found that the passion to paint and to improve was in me. Whil
Hi. My name is Samantha. I was born and raised in Townsville North Queensland, alongside two brothers. I began painting as a child, and recollect pulling one out to show off to adults, to prove my talent. I took up the Visual Arts subject in both primary and high school, and found that the passion to paint and to improve was in me. While studying teaching at JCUNQ I majored in Fine Art, and was further inspired to perfect the subject matter of my paintings. I achieved a High Distinction in my studies. Also during this time, I worked out at a local gym and began to draw torsos of body builders, and sold some of them around the city. But after suffering a set-back, I gave up art altogether when I left the university. I did not take it up for another nine years. Then after a strong desire to begin again, I began to practice drawing portraits. I finally found my niche in 2000, in using a number of genres to achieve what I am strongly inspired to create. This turns into simply colourful beauty with a message.
